Fields of work

The association's seven approved fields: social assistance, cultural and religious services, family care, child and maternal care, health services, friendship between peoples, and local community development.

The compliance decree of October 2022 approved seven fields of work for the association, with a nationwide scope. Fields in which the association currently runs regular activity are marked "active now"; the others are approved in its statute and open to new initiatives in partnership with residents and institutions.

1Approved field

Social assistance

Support for the neighbourhood's most vulnerable families, in kind or by easing access to services, within the association's means and the rules of the supervising authority.

2Approved field

Cultural, scientific and religious services

Educational, cultural and religious activities for the neighbourhood. The association's premises sit above Al-Rahman Mosque on El-Falouga Street.

3Approved field

Family care

Programmes that strengthen family cohesion and wellbeing and guide families to the health and social services available to them.

4Approved field

Child and maternal care

The association's clinics include paediatrics and neonatology as well as obstetrics and gynaecology, serving mothers and children in the area.

5Active now

Health services

Al-Houtia Medical Clinics in more than thirteen specialties, a laboratory, ultrasound and ECG, plus free medical caravans in cooperation with national health initiatives. Clinic details ›

Friendship between peoples

A field that opens the door to cooperation with associations and institutions outside Egypt in charitable and development work, within the limits set by law and with the approval of the supervising authority.

7Active now

Local community development

The field on which the association was founded in 1993. Today it includes the dignified transport vehicle and the premises themselves as an open service point for the neighbourhood.
